Risk Assessment & Evaluation / RA&E
Pursuant to the Working Conditions Act (Article 5), you as an employer are obliged to have an actual Risk Assessment & Evaluation (RA&E). An RA&E means that you check whether sufficient precautions have been taken in your company to prevent damage to the health of you and your employees and whether more can / should be done. And if so, what exactly. This investigation must be recorded in writing.
An Action Plan with improvement measures is part of the RA&E. The aim of the RA&E is to determine which aspects must be paid attention to to prevent the risks (and possible accidents). The safety experts of ARBO Rotterdam can carry out and test an RA&E for your company. This way you are assured of an independent and expert investigation and advice for all identified risks and you comply with the legal obligations.
Process for the implementation of the RI&E
The RA&E consists of the following components:
- Company tour for the benefit of absenteeism and working conditions policy, absenteeism figures, special risk areas;
- Tour / inspection by an advisor, where the location is examined for health and safety aspects;
- Survey among a sample of employees (employee questionnaires), to question them about their perception of work pressure / job content.
Overall, your company receives a report with any bottlenecks that have been identified, its risk class, the measures and advice for improvement, an explanation and a proposal for an action plan. If additional research or measurements prove necessary, these will be further advised.
